Over the 32 years I have lived in Doraville, I've been actively involved in community service. I strongly feel that you get out of a community what you put into it. Since I moved here, I've devoted much of my time into working to make Doraville a better place to live. Below are a few of the things I have been involved with lately.

KIWANIS CLUB of DORAVILLE
I'm a charter member of this organization that was started about 10 years ago and I've been selected as the president for 3 of them. We provide and support programs for the children in this area. We've raised thousands of dollars directly spent on the local schools, as well as supporting world wide programs. We also are very hands on, and have participated in many neighborhood cleanup projects, as well as events and programs at the local schools. https://www.doravillekiwanis.club/
AFTER SCHOOL PROGRAMS
One thing I feel strongly about is educational opportunities for the children in Doraville. Two afternoons a week I am involved with an after school tutoring program for the kids at Cary Reynolds. In addition, this past spring I started a "Computer Science Club" on Wednesday afternoon teaching kids about electronics and computer programming. I support the Doraville Library and will try to bring in more programs like this to our area.
I've been directly working with this school to address things they need help with. I've been volunteering at their fall festival as a photographer in their "Keepsake Photo" booth for over a decade. In 2017, as part of a Kiwanis funded project, I installed a new PA system in their auditorium just in time for their International Day celebration. I was awarded "Volunteer of the Year" by the PTA for my work there.
